Quinteto Criollo Gonzalez Calo & Juan Seren was born in 2012 in Buenos Aires with the prime objetive of bringing new air to the avant-garde tango movement in Argentina.
Bandoneon, two guitars, creole guitarron and contrabass evoques the new creole sound, as simple and deep as the nobelty of the instrumentation.
In 2014 they release their first Album, “Las nuevas formas del criollismo” (The new forms of creole) and in 2019 they join together with the songwriter Juan Seren to release the new “Milonga Conurbana” (Suburban Milonga). In the 2016’s European tour they share stage with Maestro Dino Saluzzi in a very-talked-about gig at Saarbrucken Jazz Festival (GERMANY).
In 2024 is presenting his 3rd work “Escaleras, candilazos y baldíos”
Quinteto Criollo Gonzalez Calo had became a refence for all new musicians that wants to incurse into tango music.
